Presently I am working on developing the page content and the presentation still needs quite a bit more work…
The transcription scheme used defaults to showing a representation of Syrian Hebrew pronunciation as far as I've been able to research it. This pronunciation (along with the Iraqi and Yemenite pronunciations) is one of the living Hebrew traditions which is most similar to Arabic pronunciation. Sometimes the transcriptions I give do not match those seen in books and on other web sites because these usually assume either an average Israeli or an Ashkenazi pronunciation. For example, I transcribe צ as s rather than as ts or tz. Furthermore, the Middle Eastern accents that haven't travelled and mutated via Europe sound quite different too. I'm working on making the transcriptions customizable so you'll be able to choose your own preferred ancient pronunciation tradition and receive meaningful transliterations.
